Data transparency

What data the evaluator uses.

PORTIQA combines the portfolio values supplied by the client with a maintained security master and derived market context. The API reports gaps when evidence is unavailable.

Client-supplied data

The request supplies ticker identifiers and either market values or amounts, plus an optional cash balance and risk level. PORTIQA does not retain request or response payload bodies in API usage logs; the service logs the key identifier, endpoint, timestamp, and HTTP status for billing, abuse prevention, and support.

Security master and classifications

The reference universe maps tickers and exchanges to supported instruments and related profile fields. These may include exchange, sector, company or fund classification, close price, beta, grade, dividend, signal, and trend fields where available. Coverage varies by instrument and market.

Derived factor and market context

The evaluator can use time-windowed ticker-to-factor correlations and betas, factor-regime snapshots, broad market-regime snapshots, and sector-regime snapshots. The implementation uses multiple horizons for factor evidence and attaches confidence or stability measures where available. These are derived indicators, not statements about future performance.

Freshness

Context tables are read from their latest available snapshot. Different data categories can have different as-of dates because classifications change less often than prices or regime measures. An evaluation should therefore be treated as current to the underlying snapshots, not necessarily to the exact request second.

Coverage and gap reporting

The response exposes coverage for beta, grade, dividend, trend, and macro context. Diagnostics also report classification quality, factor-evidence quality, low-confidence or missing weight, and a list of data gaps. An unresolved ticker is returned in missing_tickers; PORTIQA does not manufacture a profile for it.

Vendor and licensing disclosure

PORTIQA currently documents data lineage at the category and transformation level. Individual upstream vendor names are not published where redistribution or licensing terms restrict attribution detail. This page will be expanded when a source can be named publicly.
